i have no sense of decor and i want to find a comfortable armchair that isnt an eye sore. i'm willing to invest up to $500 on one (because i like the idea of having it for a good 5 years)
where do you guys get furniture stuff online, aside from ikea?

how do you fold your clothes when packing for a trip? I'm trying to figure out the most efficient way to pack for my trip. I think I am going to put the shirts I'm taking in a stack and then fold them in half or fold them and then roll them.

So my inadequate roommate was in charge of getting our power turned on. He waited until yesterday to call Dominion and apparently our apartment is on some kind of "do not turn on" list. Roommate said they need to talk to our landlord and it takes 72 hours to verify. Has anyone else experienced this? Is there any way to get around it? Classes start Thursday and I still need to unpack everything; this is a pain in the ass.

Can anyone recommend a good moving company for a move from RVA to Alexandria? So far the quotes I've gotten range from $600-$800. Is that about average? I'm kind of in a time crunch, as I didn't find out until last week that the move was definite, and my move-in is Labor Day weekend.
